    GS Straits.

    Heading up the straits this weekend, any news on whats happening from Ungowa south.

    elprez. Have not been over myself for a few weeks but reports I have heard say it has been a bit quiet. But after every quiet period someone has to be first when they come back on the bite. I think Surf-Sniper is going to be in that area this weekend on a houseboat. you may be able to meet up. Further south there have been good winter whiting in front of Poona, good mackerel in front of Tinnambah and I havs heard of a few cod beeing caught along the ledges from Fig Tree and south. Bob.

    Thanks Bob, if the wind stays down Macs and whitting will be the go out the front. Havent been able to find the shoolies so far this year.

    Going out to look for schoolies in the near future, there are reports of macs around the channel markers out from Urangan pier but I do not know what type they are. I have just rigged up a new Daiwa Emblem pro 5500 this morning and can not wait to try it out. I will be giving the mac tuna a shot at Ungowa as well. Have to catch up at Ungowa one day soon. Bob.
