    tweed close reefs.

Me and the misses are going to head out to cook island and the 9 mile close reefs saturday morning. The weather looks the goods. hopefully the fish play the game. We're planning to concentrate on the plastics for the reefies and maybe sling some chrome if we spot any schools working. If that does'nt work, ill jig up some livies....if i can find them
Have'nt heard too many reports of late as to any action out there. If the weather stays friendly and the missus can keep breakfast down, we may try out a little deeper to the mud hole. I'm keen to try out jigging for some kings etc. but the deeper water is a bit far out for our little tub (4.55 polycraft). Anyone heard any news as to how its been fishing this week?
Will be monitoring VHF channel 16 & 73, Call Sign "Reel Fun" White 4.55 polycraft.

    Cheers, Roo

I know what you mean.......but if you study it carefully and time it right....its fine. Not much fun when your coming home on a run out tide, the pressure waves can stack up a bit. Tomorrow is a low tide early before sunrise and we'll be back around the top of the tide.

Not one to underestimate the dangers but I've been a surfer for 20 years, so i've learn't to read the water pretty well.

I reckon Brunswick heads take the cake for nasty bars.......but then it is only a very short run from channel to deep water.
