Well we've just arrived back in Rocky after having driven down to Gladstone yesterday for the Xmas M & G drinks at the yachties. Delegated staff yesterday to fill for me at the funeral of a client, organised the kids etc, and generally expected a fine time with fellow Ausfishers. Only two others showed. Good to see you again Terry and Jacqui (Harry 01) and thanks for making the effort to come and say hello Glen (Glen Woods).
Very disappointed that no one else showed, so Sue and I enjoyed a few drinks and dinner together, which was nice.

I don't think we'll bother with it next year.

I can understand your frustration and disappointment at the turnout. I did however, make every effort to get there and was still prepared to come into town at 1830 when I rang you (Second time).

Sorry I never made it, really hope that we can catch up again soon. I am home at Xmas and beyond so I might catch you over at Hummock.

I understand your situ Deano and my swipe wasn't at you. It was meant for the all the Gladstone Ausfishers who have such a beautiful piece of paradise at their back door and yet could not make an effort to meet up with others for a Xmas drink and chat. Especially with the beautiful outlook of the Yachties. Pretty pathetic really, but as has been stated on the forum before a lot of Ausfishers are notorious for it.

We just wish we could of stayed for longer. It was nice to catch up, and we will see what we can bo about getting out to Hummock when you and Sue are in residence.
