Fishing buddy in Cairns?

Gday Andrew,
Looks like you have got some ausfishers living close by,they should be able to help you get onto some fish.
Mission Beach is about 1.5 hours south of cairns,and fortunate to have most of its reefs escape the green zoning.With cyclone recovery and the shitty weather,I find it hard to plan trips.I usually have the boat fuelled up,bait in the freezer and just go if the winds drop.

Didnt some of you guys get together at cardwell recently for a Meet and Greet? It would be good to arrange something similar after xmas,new year possibly,If anyone is interested.

see what Scott, Ben, and the Doc has to say, if they are keen, i wouldnt mind heading down to Mission beach for a fish Sat/Sun mid Jan and stay at a van park, im sure M/D will no a good van park

Sounds good .Any weekend is fine for me as I live close by.There is a few van parks along the beaches as well as a cheapy council park with absolute beachfront if you want to rough it in tents.Should be vacancies in all during january.
I'll have a spot for an anchor puller if someone wants it.

There is a caravan park 1/2 dozen doors from me with beach frontage.Beachcomber Coconut Village it's one of the big 4 mob,very nice and clean.

Hi Fellas,

Yeah, wouldn't mind a fish down there sometime in January. I got a family fishing trip up to tinaroo from the 18th to the 21st, so that is a no go, but should be right for most of the other time during the month.
