Kyabram Fishing Competition at BEARII

I am going to the Ky fishing comp again this year at Bearii, Vic.

My son is going with me and picking up a mate at Wagga on the way.


Just woundering if any ausfishers in Vic or NSW are going.

For those who don't know it is a limited no of fishers and only by registered entery.

Yellowbelly and Murray Cod are the main target.

Just noticed you were off to fish with the Kyabram fishing club in their comp.
Used to live there before moving up here. They used to have one of the best freshwater comps around-- held at the waranga basin.

You should have a great time and if it was like years ago will be well organised and have some terrific prizes.

It is an absolute buzz down there, well organised and the prizes are just the best.
There is an 8hp yammie motor for the lucky entrant draw.
$7,000-00 worth of prizes and the biggest catch and release cod is $1,200-00
That is mine.
Costs $90-00 to enter and with that you get F/nite tea, b/f lunch and tea S/day and B/f and lunch s/day.

Post the pic of the big one when i get back

Thanks for the reply. I have been up here for about 14 years now and the comp was going before that. Pleased to hear that some things stick around and get better.
The prizes were always good as i said and the people are/or were great to be with. I think the first year there was a tinny and motor and heaps of other stuff as well. Glad they are still going strong.

Fill me in when you get back as i will be very interested to hear about it. Let me know who wins what as i may know some of them.
