Just before I left Gove earlier this year I went out with a mate, Mick Read, for the day. He has a 30 foot full displacement which cruises at about 7 - 10 knots - perfect trolling speed.
This photo is of Cody Williams and her first Spaniard. Her dad Ian caught one earlier in the day then she hooked up and played it in nicely. Took her about 10 - 15 minutes to get it to the boat then Ian did his best to foul the gaff on the line - to no avail. Cody's comment - Jeeze Dad, it's bigger than yours!!!!!!!!!
