How to attach a pic to your post

To attach a pic to your post do the folowing

    Step One
Click on the Browse button in the Attach section below the Message window

    Step Two
A window will appear as shown in this example

Click on the drop down selection where it says HTML files and select All files as shown

This will show all the files on your computer instead of just the HTML files.
Go to the folder/directory where your picture is located and click on the file. Then click on the Open button

The window will close and you will see the location of the pic in the Attach section as shown in this example

The pic must be in either .gif or .jpg format and under 100 KB in size.

All you need to do now is type in some text in the message window explaining what the pic is of, where it was caught, method used, etc, etc.

For information on scanning your pics for attaching on the boards have a look at
    http://www.ausfish.com.au/fishphotos/scan.htm

If you need any more help post a reply here.

At this stage you can only ad one pic/file per post. Just do a reply to your original post to ad more pics.

If you have some graphics software you coould have the two or more pics in one post by making them one file. As MaxG did in this post in the fly fishing section.

No problem with giving you a hand just yell out if you need any more help.

Don't think your a dummy just because you may not know something, as I always say, there is no such thing as a dumb question, just dumb answers from experts.

I've been playing around with the net for nearly 10 years and I still learn something new every day.

Try saving as gif file or decreasing dimensions of the picture.

    Hi

You will get that message if someone has already uploaded a pic with the same file name. Just rename the file on your computer and try again.

Had a look at your previous posts and no pics attached to them.

Re: How to attach a pic to your post

    G'day Steve,

Why does my computer not always open pictures/photo's. On most ocassions all I get is a white box with a red x in it. If I right click on the box and check 'show picture' it will only sometimes open, but mostly just show the box again.

Would this be something to do with my computer or internet settings? [smiley=help.gif]
This is very frustrating not being able to see the photos that others can see. [smiley=angryfire.gif] [smiley=bigcry.gif]

    Hope you can [smiley=helpa.gif]..........

Yep, it does Steve. Have 56k external modem. Some pictures that wouldn't open this morning, now open fine, but still not all will open.

    Cheers,

Would check your Internet settings, proxy settings, etc. Go to your ISP's home page and check them there, they should have a few pages on how to set stuff like that up.

Sounds like a time out error, either your ISP or your connection.

You can try to force the page to reload and therefore forcing it to grab the images. While holding down the Shift key, click on Refresh.
