I caught these bream at Nudgee (fishing platform near the dog bark) one morning last month. They are not huge but the larger one (27.5cm or 11 inches) is my best yet.

Thanks Jeff - I hadn't noticed the modify button. happy to keep you amused. Freudian slip perhaps.
Fincho - the fish were caught on the humble tweed bait prawn.

yeh i've caught a few out at nudgee on prawn nothing that size though
i fished at Nudgee the other day. Didn't get a thing But did get a few big strikes but i reckon crabs
Sighted a small pod of dolphins
which indicates that that is a
pretty healthy waterway.
There are also a number of flathead
near the mouth in the deep drop offs
must have been big crabs
Jewies
I have only fished Nudgee a couple of times, however as well as bream I have seen, biggish flathead as you mentioned, sting rays, pike eels and big catfish caught there. I suppose any of these could possibly be the culprit behind the big hits you were getting.

yeh went to nudgee beach today caught two crabs a 32 cm flatty and some nice bream nothing huge but a good day out
i have caught big catties before biggest been 60cms and my mates biggest was estimated at about 80-100cms couldnt be sure as we couldnt land it on to the pontoon we were fishing. But the weight of it snapped the hook when we removed it. Might be going there sometime soon.
cheers
fished there on thursday and caught a small tailor and a 24cm bream
