A fish dreams are made of. I wish they were more common at that size. There are probably stacks of them around but never on the end of my line.
They're actually reasonably common. We get quite a few (and bigger ones too) on night trips to the reef. They mostly come out at night.. mostly
That is an excellent fish mate, one that i would be quite proud of.I live in Hervey Bay and my very best jack so far was 2.7kg caught up an esturine creek on a whole small whiting..............anyway thanks for the pic and happy fishing.

Nice jack mate! I haven't caught any off shore, but have caught heeps up the Pine River. Biggest to date is 3.9kg, 62cm. What a handful!
