Rainbow comp photos
Just got back after spending 2 nights at the top end of Double Island Beach with some mates.
I wasn't in the comp - just having a fish.
Conditions were a bit tough - almost a glass out but still a fair amount of weed on the beach.
This jew caught by Boo weighed 9.6kg and came off the rocks at night (Old Failthful - too wet to fish off Splasha) .
How's this for dedication - they took kayaks up and paddled out to a shallow reef to jig live bait - 2 out of the three kayaks rolled.
Wazza's missus is shown holding our biggest tailor - only 2.6kg.

Re: Rainbow comp photos
your photography skills are outstanding Mr Downie - what beautifully framed & balanced shots -
especially Boo
(Boo ... ?)
Much better than we did on the weekend - 6 hrs in the surf on south straddie with fresh mullet bait for 1x1.2kg tailor ....
the water looked like a cricket score was on the cards -
that's fishing I guess.
chris
ps does Kair wade the outer bank in those uggies?

Re: Rainbow comp photos
I like taking photos - if only I could get Boo to smile!
The tailor was caught well after dark - photo the next morning hence the uggies.
The worst part is my mates are still up there and I have to come home to work.
