    I'll get it started!
Im not sure what the boundries are? but ive got the rariest pic ever taken on ausfish.
Taken only days ago, he's going to kill me for this but greg better known as reefmaster is usually accompanied on this sight holding up oversize reds and snapper, but heres a pic of him with a unique catch.
Undersize fish! and three on the one hook! A squire, tarwine and moses perch. The pic tells the story, but it does take some skill to hook that many fish at once, lol...foxy

    Re: Ausfish Meritorious Award

on a recent trip to bruswick heads i caugh my first mullet on a hook. (its stupid not being able to use a cast net in NSW).
for the last 4 years i have been concentrating on offshore fishing so this whole river fishing was different to me. didn;t have a float so used a make shift float (hookless popper lure tied onto the line.) my hooks were way to big and i couldn;t hook a mullet to save myself.

after about 30 minutes some guys came along and gave me a float and a few small hooks. next cast wamo hooked onto my first "flat tail" mullet and then following cast a "lano????" mullet. i was stoked :-)

no pics as i have another 35 photos left on film.
    here is a drawn picture.
    cheers phil

p.s. the mullet is about 20cm

that doesn't look like brunswick to me Phil - more like currumbin where every man & his dog knows its dead easy to catch mullet.

Caught at low tide with a Alvey Yabbie Pump, and weighted all of .05 grams. Later fed to a big Bream.

    Re: Ausfish Meritorious Award

I caught this brown trout on a piece of bread and a no.2 hook and I used KFC chicken bones for berley. Oh did I mention this was caught on a hand line. As luck would have it took the pathetic excuse for bait while I was at a tree draining a pipe, if you catch my drift.

Chemmy, how much did the fish cost?

We all see the plastic bag from the fish co-op behind you. You have got to get up pretty early in the morning to fool us.

chemmy i hope you wasn't more than a few feet from your line while you got that fish other wise we would have to class that a fish caught on a setline and we wouldn't want that
