Caught this pb spottie on holidays up at the gold coast over xmas,was using 8lb mono with a very light wire trace. first run was a beauty (nearly spooled). Managed a dosen nice spotties over 2 days fishing with a mate from burleigh.

Gday fishingnottaken yes they came of palmy, but later in day when there was not too many boats around, i dont think i would pull the 8lb bream rod out in the morning when the place is like pitt st, he would have found the nearest anchor rope for sure.
