2 for the price of 1

This 88cm Flathead was caught by my wife (Robyn) whilst retrieving a 38cm Flathead at Lake Conjola last Sunday 10/12/06.
It took the smaller Flathead head first and was caught on the spikes on the side of the head. I would have been happy with the first Flathead.

they are two unlucky flatties. 1st to be eaten then the other to be caught on the other.

Nice fish, I caught a big cod one day after it took a 36cm grass sweetlip which was hooked on the top hook of a gang (thought it was a shark) the cod weighed about 30kg but was popped when surfaced so I had to keep both, the sweetlip was still flipping inside the mouth when i tried to unhook it

That would be very unlucky here in QLD, both fish would be illegal to keep, I am sure its 40cm by 70cm.
In NSW it seems it is ; 36cm and (only 1 fish longer than 70cm) by 70cm
