    GIF Animations

How do you insert an animated gif image in the bottom of your posts ? Not talking about the avatar or posting pics in the message body.

Need a crash course in Yabbicode ????

    Thanks

    Greg

You add the image into your signature. Just go into your Profile and you can add it there.

You will needsomething like, this is the code for my signature
    Code:

any way of making those instructions clearer?

I understand that you have inserted an image from a website (ie yours lol) is there any other way of doing it?

and to add to that. if you link it to a website does it have to be the only gif on the page?

    Re: GIF Animations

BUT lol for those who don't know how to do it i will try and explain in a clear and easily followed manner.

    1. Post the picture (gif, jpeg, etc) you want to display as an attachment to a post (somewhere in the test area would be a good place)

    2. on your post (up the top) it names the attachment (gif, photo etc). double click it and a new page will appear with just that gif on it.

    3. in your profile under signature type "[ img] .... [ /img]" and where i have the dots (...) insert the web link for the other page that only has the gif on it. Note: there should be no spaces between the "[" and the command "img]" and no spaces between these commands and the website address. (hope this makes sense. the reason i have spaces in this post is so that you can see the command. without the spaces the computer thinks it is real comands being entered)

    4. save profile changes and away you go :-)

    5. if you want it to move or be centered you need to add some other code (the bits within the brackets) like [ center] [ /center] and [ move] [ /move]. these commands need to be either side of the commands [ img] and [ /img].

so here is an example [ center][ img]http://ausfish.com.au/yourimage.gif[ /img][ /center]

    hope that makes sense :-)

If any of this is wrong i am sure Steve will point it out. Note to Steve: it's easier to do it than explain it:-). when typing this up i thought "oh yeh this will be easy to explain". wrong lol but i hope this all makes sense.

    Re: GIF Animations

    here is a question steve.

once the gif is uploaded to the signature can it then be deleted from the original post or does it have to stay?
