Irrespective of ISP, have a think about what type of BB you have available.

If you have cable get that, if not then ADSL. Lastly if you really really really want BB, then Satellite.

Have a look at Telstra in terms of their package deals with your fixed line service etc. Look at the package deal not the broadband on its own.

    I'm with
    Swiftbroadband
    512k Ultra-Lite 1 GB none $5 /GB Free Dynamic $40 /mo

    Otherwise TPG has
    1.5Mb Value Unlimited/15G 15 GB Shaped N/A Dynamic $49.95 /mo

Now a 1.5mb link rocks... but the 512 save me $10

    Re: Which Broadband?

I don't like telstra and heard that they have constant problems with the link being down.

Might not be true but thats just what I heard.

I have optus cable and phone and it works out ok'ish.

I'm with Netspace. Only have the 256K (still 10 times faster than dialup) but get 10gig download for $39, complete with free modem/router.

Upgrades are available for free, and the service so far has been very reliable.

    Re: Which Broadband?

There may be download sessions ( but I got no idea cos I got Optus Cable Broadband) , so check it out. Anyways, Optus is good - but I have connection problems every couple hours or so - I think it is only my modem stuffing up.

Good $$$ for the service Skippa .

I have 1 Gig/month and it does me fine - you may need more if you are a big downloader.

    Regards

    Chris
