I am finding Ausfish very slow - anyone else having trouble or is it such a successfull site that it is labouring under the weight of posts / topics and pictures. Need better hosting / more speed / more power!!

Yes - definitely on broadband. ADSL - could be Telstra, sometimes they have problems and tend to over subscribe their network.

just checking - thanks for the responses.

    Bigmack,
I'm on TPG broadband but Ausfish does seem to be slower than usual. Takes ages for a page to load. I figured it was probably Telstra's crappy system overloading because every Sunday night it's nearly impossible to get on the net before 10. I've been told that all broadband is Telstra anyway. Not sure it that's true or not.

I'm on broadband also. Sometimes it's quite fast and other times it's pretty slow.

I've always put it down to my ISP (Telstra), and generally I'm pretty happy with things.

There could be other issues as well, such as how much RAM you have, the processor speed etc. Really don't know.

Mate it is not slow..... it is Bl DY slow .....and I am on Telstra Broardband, has been slow for some months i think they need to look for a new server.
I am other chats and they load up 10X quicker.

Sometimes I just shut it down and walk away as it won't even load the page. Go onto other sites and have no problems

That says to me it is not the conection.

This is a popular site no doubt, but it needs to grow with the traffic flow.

Come on Ausfish we have a need for SPEED

Server is under a fair bit of load lately

The chat board uses up the bulk of the server resources and I will be doing another upgrade to the server soon.

    TO AUSFISH

Hi Steve when you do the upgrade you may like to look at the sticker banner ,when you go to the "Chat Boards" drop down the banner is over the top of the drp down and if you click on one of the first 3,

it will direct you to the page for stickers.
