    What's a bump

Why do I see 'bump' written on some strings? Is it just to refresh a string and bring it back to the top of the page? Is there any restrictions on doing this?

If it's your own post and/or you have a sound reason for it then there shouldnt be a problem.

What about in 'for sale' when I see a string that I started to sell something disappearing down the bottom. Can I bump that so it stays on the first page, is that a sound reason?
