How do I upload my own personal picture (Avatar)

To display your own personal pic (Avatar) the pic must be less than 20kb in file size and no more than 110 pixels wide. If it is wider than 110 pixels it will be resized and may not look as good as you intended it to.

Avatars must be G Rated, we reserve the right to remove any we feel inappropriate for the chat boards.

Images subject to copyright can not be used. In otherwords, if you do not own the image you can not use it.



Go into your profile by clicking on the "Member CP" link in the top menu. Then click on the "Edit Profile" link.

Once you are in your profile click on "Edit Avatar" link.



NOTE - image can only be .gif, .png, .jpg or .jpeg and must be under 20Kb



If your old avatar is still displayed after you have made changes it would probably be due to the fact you are using Internet Explorer (IE). IE will Cache the original avatar on your computer. You will need to Refresh your browser to force it to load the new pic/info from the server. Sometimes you need to hold the Shift key down while you click on Refresh to force it to load the new pic.

Steve, tried changing my avatar today, when I select "upload my own avatar" and click on the new pic (which is under 20kb) the old one comes back up again. not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Ok disregard that as the new pic is up now ??? might take a while to change or something?

Hi steve need some help changing my avitar.
Have gone into profiles
upload my own avitar
hit browse
found the pic
then back into profiles to find the old picture file still there????
Bad opperator i'm sure.
even posted the same pic in test pics
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The pic I can currently see in your avatar is of a drunken Kangaroo, is thsi the current one ?

the smallest i can resize the photo i want is 21.9 KB
Im using the Fuji finepix viewer program that came with my camera.

A 110pixel wide image can easily be saved under 20kb
