Why do most of us miss the other issues
I do not understand how all parties have taken away our rights and have never been hammered for it.
The ordinary worker gets slugged all the time with beer and smokes being constanly put up.
Who is gaining out of this.
I am not making excuses for i have these vices but will any political party tell me how they spend this money and if they say it is for the benefect of paying the cost of hospitals because of our habits then fair enought.
But why are they treating and ingnoring the boating industry.

Hi Troy,
For the amount the governments reap from just Tobacco and alcohol,
we should have best Hospitals and medical system in the world.
Also read a report recently about the amount of state governments,
who while opposing smoking, also hold vast amounts of shares in
tobacco companies. Qld Govt would not advise if it held shares or not.
cheers Mick

Pinhead,
For the amount of tax we pay would you not agree that some of it be put back in providing better facilities for the boating sextor.
What do they do with the massive revenue they receive from tobacco.
Troy
Ps and the ordinary worked gets shafted all the time does the worker get a pay rise every time they put up beer and smokes.

As I said Troy..all the money they receive is accounted for in the budget.
What specifically do you mean regarding the boating sector?
Ramps? They are the domain of local councils I believe.
The State Govt does have the responsibility ofr navigation aids etc.

Ramps and better roads to access the ramps .
Dredging of channels and an all tidal ramp here and there would not go astray.
Might be councils area but does not the Goverments of the day provide councils with revenue and if so is it enough.
