Great Sandy Marine Park - Completely Stuffed

Check it out folks, fishing restrictions, fishing bans and go slow areas. They have well and truly stuffed up a great fishing area.

Is this whats to come for Moreton Bay? ? ? ? ?

For the Layman ... what have they changed?

Sorry for the ignorance, but I am not overly familiar with the area, but I will be up there in 2 weeks time, so it would be nice to know WTF is going on...

    Cheers

The biggest spot that is lost is Keiths Reef and the other little close in reefs north of Rooneys. They are great spots to catch liveys whilst overnighting in close out of the wind and if you are working the top of the island and outside. They also hold Macklerel and Sweetlip at time as well as juvenile Reds. You used to be able to catch legal ones there at the old size of 45cm but you would be scratching to get a 55cm one. Also kills some Marlin trolling grounds for me. It is a great area out of the prevailing SEers to have a fish at the top of the island. Gunna make life hard now.
