Cup Campin'!

G'day all.
As luck would have it, we in the CSIRO get the Melb. Cup Tuesday off and, through severe toil , I have managed to swing the Monday off to enjoy a 4-dayer on the Murray River near Barmah (25km North of Echuca) !

The possie is pretty much off the track so it doesn't get a total floggin'. There'll be camp ovens a-blazin' with roasts and the odd ale and maybe a red or 3 .

To top it off, the river has been known to produce it's fair share of fish (cod season is closed until 1st Dec.) and yabbies !

Anyone else thining of a trip somewhere this weekend?

The missus and I are lookin' to head down to Tinnanbar on Saturday for a few days to try out Kauri Ck.

Betcha we catch more Jacks than you do

Still planning on spending a few days at Maroochydore and catching up with you in Nov - what's best for you, first week, or second week?

yeah, unfortunately jack doesn't live here.
have you opened you jack account up there yet?

The first week would be good, but I think dad has "plans" that could involve a trip somewhere - not sure though.

Second week, the dear, understanding wife is coming up and we'll be doing some touristy stuff (jack fishing ) so not sure there either.

Will keep you posted.
