didn't know you could camp on the beach at bribie .
I've used campsites up the passage standard fees apply . hardest part is finding a place to leave the car and trailer . also watch where you leave the boat some places are not what they appear sand at high tide rocks at low (mission point ) . mossies are part and parcel up there too .
There are some good camping spots on the passage theres 2 main sites at gallaghers point these are accessible by 4x4 through the track at whitepatch, it is easy to launch a small tinny from both these spots. There was another spot open called poverty creek but is not accessible by 4x4 due to some dickheads putting sugar in the national parks grader engine, this spot is still open but u can only get there by boat. Also there is mission point further up the passage if you've got a boat. As for the ocean side there are some excellent camping sites all these spots are the regular $3.50 a night
Anzac,
was up there Sunday arvo and scored myself a mosquito suit. I couldn't believe they were that thick and you don't want to miss a square cm with the rid.

Mossies are bad enough, but I'm allergic to sandflies/midgies whatever there called. How've they been on bribie, sort of nervous to go anywhere near mangroves knowing the week or so of hell I suffer afterwards!!!
