    Portable  fish  cooker?

I want to buy a car portable gas cooker for freshly caught fish. It doesn't need to be backpack size, but pack to a reasonably neat/small size to go in neat/small vehicle. Smaller the better but without sacrificing cooking ability. Must be gas.

    Also, a fish smoker.

All this will save me coming home to eat, thanks for help, Andrew.

    Hi

For a Fish Smoker I can highly recommend the Nipper Kipper - http://www.nipperkipper.com.au/

Australian made and would have to be the best fish smoker on the market as far as I am concerned. I tried a few of the cheap import models before using the Nipper Kipper and wish I had never waisted money on the cheapies.

The have a new Foldaway model that takes up a lot less room than the standard models

    Hey Guys

Southernn Metal Spinners in South Aussie make a good fold away stainless steel fish and food smaker. It folds down into a small package. I have one and it is a beauty.

You can check them out on the web at http://www.southern-metal-spinners.com.au/ and the smokers should be in camping and fishing stores or you can order on the net.

    Cheers

what I use to smoke fish when away fishing is a single portable gas burner which I use for all my cooking, heating water for coffee and cooking 2 minute noodles and stuff. on the gas burner I put a small camp oven with wood chips on the bottom and the wifes cake rack (shh) raised above the wood chips a bit of water a few slices of lemon on the fish only takes a several minutes as long as the oven is already hot. For a couple of fillets of whiting or bream this does the job for me.
taking these 2 items normally does the job for me when I am boating overnight at mission point or or quick trips to the beach note this is not as good nipper kipper ...

    Hey Stephen

You are right about smoking in the camp oven...............I have done that before as well. The thing is to make sure you have the right wood chips.

    Cheers
