    Generator usage

OK guys, here's a curley one.

A Tuckerbox freezer and an icemaker are coming camping with us. What size generator should we be taking ?

We have a 4.5kva going at the moment. Anyone have good ideas on fuel usage etc.

    Geez phil,

You didn't tell them about the flouro, stero, cappucino machine, your hair dryer, the deep fryer, tv, dvd, vcr, playstation that we'll be using as well.

I guess I should probably look at the rating on both the freezer and the ice maker.

From memory I think we used 80 litres on the 7kva genny running three freezers and the ice machine pluss bits and pieces last time at Waddy.

    I'll look into it

If you are using it within earshot of other campers (a fair way on a still night), doubtless you will be considerate and only run it during the day.
