I have a just bought a camp trailer and have recently spent the Easter at Cania gorge with the family. The missus is now happy enough to take on a longer adventure, as long as we pickup a couple of eskys that will keep ice longer then a day.
We would like to go up north to Maybe Cooktown with the 3 Kids and travel down the coast to Rocky during the June school holidays. However instead of stopping at the more popular camp spots on the Hway we would like to check out that area a little quieter.
The area must have showers and toilets (Thats The Rules fron you know who) and we like walks and fishing and any other activities for the tin lids would be great. I don't mind a little bit of 4x4ing as well
So I'm appealing to the vast knowelge out there to give me a few tips to your favourite camp spots between Cooktown and Rockvagus. So I can make some plans
Wild Cat,
If you are interested in a good caravan park on the southern side of Cairns,I would recommend the cairns Coconut Caravan Park,I think it's at Woree. One of the best kept parks I have ever stayed in,it is actually 5 star rated by the RACQ.Iam sure they measure each blade of grass there and cut it with scirrors.PH: 1800 636 622
