yeah mate great place to camp but you need a decent boat trailer to get in there

Re: middle creek??
yeah tell me about it i went in there tuesday after christmas this year, got to within about 4km of the camp sight and the trailer hitch snapped going over a small mound. it was a real pain in the ass because the trailer was made out of pipe and i couldn't find a new hitch, so i ended up having to drive into bundy the next morning and buy a new boat trailer....
have you caught any decent fish there

Re: middle creek??
Haven't fished it but been there many times when Four Wheel Driving around the Eurimbla NP area. Whatever you do, take plenty of Mossie repelant, and try and get the camp spot on top of the hill.

Re: middle creek??
Hi guys, Spent Monday night camped at Middle Ck on the way through to Bundy. The road in was great with a few pot-holes to dodge and some 'speed bumps' but nothing a 2WD with reasonable clearance couldn't handle I reckon.
We camped down near the beach out past the boat ramp. A nice spot and yep there were some sandflies but not too bad.
I'll be back for sure, next time the boat is coming too.
Kids caught a couple of nice Bream and Whiting, plenty of fish movement, clean clear water, plenty of yabbie holes.
The picture here is looking from camp out toward the mouth at low tide. Seems to be a lot of sandy gutters, oyster rocks and sand flats too. A good mix I reckon.

Re: middle creek??
Hey, maybe this could turn into a boys weekend? A couple of boats, a few good blokes, and a sh!t load of rum and lies. Always wanted to go down there for a weekend, maybe this could be a good excuse.
When are you going back Gilly? And where are you from?

Well, let us know how it all goes. It's only just over an hour or so from here for me, should have done it a few times by now, just lazy I guess.

Re: middle creek??
Sounds like a plan, but if your going in summer you can count me out. Corry, middle creek was where we where crabbing with No Frills & Dazza in february isnt it? If thats the same place, ive never seen sandflies so thick in my entire life. Also, make sure you take a spare props for the boats cause most of the creek is very, very rocky and shallow in some parts. Apart from all that the fishing potential is pretty good.
Cheers

Re: middle creek??
Gees, JD, you make it sound like a holiday village. Yes it was where we were with Daza and NoFrills.
We must have just had sweet blood for the sandies and the mossies to have hit us that bad, or maybe we didn't drink enough rum. I'm sure if we were camping there then we wouldn't have that problem.
Maybe camping around the point, or up on the headland would be alright. I wouldn't mind camping on the headland sometime to see what it is like. Should go for another drive back down there and have a look again. May even drop down for a night to see how things go. It's close enough to home that we could ping off to either home or Agnes if it gets to much.
