Rangers are Enforcing the 30day camping rule on the Point. Whilst it seems a hard and fast rule there is a lack of communication between Chiefs and the Indians. One ranger will say pull out of Inskip for one night and then come back, the next Guy says NO. Some Campers have been staying there for Months and their camps looked like Hell and this may be why the AUTH. have clamped down . We have been going to Inskip for about 8 years usually for 5-6 weeks at a time . Its a Magic spot where we have had some Great camping and Good fishing. Perhaps its time to move on.

We've always camped down at DI.. We're keern to give Inskip a go - other than the drop-dunnies up near the barges, is there any other facilities up there?
Gooday Grunta and Kleiny,, Heaps of drop dunnys from the Barge entrance back to Dorrigo camp area. 5-6 weeks , mate thats wat we work 50 years for. Grunta we generally get into Sarrawak camp area, we have found the grassy sites there the best and you have a good access on to the beach. The dunnys are good and only smell in the busy times. After much consideration we will be back as it is a GREAT spot.
Cheers Brush.
Am unable to find confirmation at this stage but I understand that the Govt has made a decision to reduce the size of the camping ground at Inskip Point.
