Can anyone recomend where to stay at Seventeen Seventy or Agnes Water. I plan to take the wife and two kids (4 & 1) there over easter. I'll take my boat (5m Quintrex) to do a bit of fishing so if i can find a good place to stay the wife and kids will be happy which means more times out in boat. We prefer caravan parks and usually pitch our tent. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Daz there are many of us on this site who have visited regularly and love 1770/Agnes, but the man who could probably give precise information is (Tony) Agnes Jack. He has the tackle shop at Agnes Water.
Send him a PM, I'm sure he will be willing and able to answer all of your questions.

    Cheers
    Dave

    Hi Mate,

I've never actually been, but have been looking myself lately. Here are some links that might help make a choice:

    http://www.1770holidayvillage.com/

Hopefully someone who actually knows the area will be able to let you know which is best....

Good luck, and please let me know how you go.

    Mike

Best to google the place and get info that way.

There is the camp ground at 1770 and one at Agnes, but I'd say they'd be just about all booked out by now. I used to book my house accom 12 months in advance.

Easter is a good time and great fishing can be achieved.

the real estate mobs that may be able to help are:-

    Ray White Real Estate
    PRD Reality
    Beaches Real Estate/ Endeavour 1770

Maybe think about places like ( to camp ). middle creek, eurimbulia, Baffle Creek, Turkey Beach ( although the kids will get carried of by the sandflies there ), Forshores etc.

The housing accom is also slim pickings due to major development being undertaken at Agnes, with over 100 million $'s worth of units etc being built as we speak.

Good luck, and my only advice is to try to camp there OUT of holiday periods, if at all possible. Winter is GOOD......ssssshhhhhhhh !!!!!!

    cheers Phill

    Thanks Guys,

I spoke to the people at the 1770 campground and it sounds good enough for us. The only problem being that easter is booked out. Looks like we'll go in May. Hope the M & G goes well.
