    Re: Coleman Portable Water Heater

I have one of the Cioleman heaters and they are great. If I had to pick a fault it would be that you cannot use them when the internal battery is on charge, so make sure the battery is charged all the time. I connect up to my solar panel and that keeps the battery topped up at all times. Camping with wife and 3 kids and sometimes their friends >, the battery runs down pretty quick.

Have you had a go at plumbing this into your tank yet?

Am keen to know how/what you have done or thought about how it might work the best?

    Cheers, rhet

    Hi Mate,

What size/make of panel have you got, and how much did it cost?

Hope you don't mind me asking...

    Thanks,
    Mike

Brought it many years ago at a garage sale. It's a large one, can't give you it's specifications and capabilities at the moment(at work). Came with an inverter, Battery(didn't last long), Charge indicator box, all for $200.
