Mate - the picture you have there is of the Boat Ramp and Corbett's Landing, up the back of Corio Bay. We usually put in there and then motor the tinny down towards the Bay. I have never really fished upstream (left) from the boatramp, but have had some good sessions down in the bay. It doesn't take too long to get to nice clean water, and there can be a few decent fish out there too.
If you are a newby to the spot, keep an eye out for sand bars, and there is a nice big pile of rocks in the middle of the channel on one of the short strights in the creek. They come out as the tide goes down, but would make a mess of your prop.
We have caught good salmon, grunter, bream, flathead in Corio. Sandy Point is at the southern end of Coria Bay, with a few good creeks between there and the bay proper. We have caught some very good bream in these creeks. We haven't taken the pot up there, so I can't tell you anything about the crab situation.
As for camping, there are a few QPWS controlled parks disbursed through the national park and state forest. There is one called Red Rock (self registration) where you can take dogs on leads camping, this is probably the closest to the boat ramp (still a couple of km's away). The best camping spots in the Byfield forest are Stoney Ck and Waterpark Ck. Stoney has a really good swimming hole if the water levels are up enough to keep the water fresh. Both of these camp grounds can be booked through the QPWS website, or over the phone. Mozzies can get pretty bad at all three of these places, especially if there is no breeze. A conventional vehicle will get you to all three places.
There is a sealed road to Waterpark, with a dirt road to the other two. The worst road would be Stoney Ck, but it is not too bad, still ok for a Commodore or Falcon. Facilities at each camp site can be found on the QPWS website.

Have fun.

Camping at byfeild, like red nut said stoney creek is the pick I went there a couple of months ago but there was not much water flowing in the creek and that is not much fun for the Kids. Check with the rangers on it's condition now. You could look at five rock which is 4WD country I have taken a tinnie up there but it was rough and it is mostly beach front and headlands.I think the book dirty weekend in CQ cover it well. My opioion is to stay in Yeppoon and day or even overnight to the other places you mention all within 30 or 40km of Yeppoon and it als open you up some more fishing spots. Iron pot Is, causeway, currimin creek, fishing creek(sandy point). depending on you tinnie further out (8km) to some of the Kepple Island group

Push all the way to 9 mile (I think thats what its called) beach N of corio bay and S od stockyard. All tracks are easy going, used to be alot worse from what I've heard.
