Tinnanbar, beautiful one day, developed the next..

    G'day Ausfishers,
It is my sad duty to inform any of you that love the Tinnanbar Caravan park to get your fill quickly, as next year the developers move in. I was talking to the owner this week and he gave me the hot tip that he is keeping one block for himself and the rest of it gets developed into houses that most of us would not be able to afford.
    Bit of a shame really....

    Cheers,
    Lunatic

Another one stuffed. It isn't that long ago that people were up in arms because they were putting a caravan park and shop there along with the subdivision. We used to go there when there was just the two streets and a few shacks like the old hilton on the corner.

Not sure many people can afford it there already - seems there are some big prices floationg around up there lately. Last time I was up I counted 9?? blocks for sale I think...

As far as the caravan park goes there is talk around that it could be moving (or another one starting up) along Kauri Creek at a large block of land near the Red Bank that used to be owned by a bloke called Headley. Im sure alot of you will know the place if you have been up Kauri or even camped there under the previous owner.

Dont be too concerned though guys, if you look around up there you will find some VERY reasonably prices houses for rent weekly, or nightly. The sale prices might be high but I think the short term holiday rental market is lagging. This may not be quite as good value as the caravan park however you can still get a bargain.

Finally it has already been pointed out its a pretty sleepy place at the right times with a caravan park so think about the potential without?

Just one further thing to add - by developers do you mean council subdivisions and residential sales of the (Soon to be) ex-caravan park land lunatic? I doubt it would be a commercial development since the blocks on the western side of the caravan park were re-zoned from commercial to residential only a few years ago when no-one had utilised them.
