Them things got a fuse you can check first.
Seems strange a fridge would not run at all, might not get cold but should run.

Don't know, never opened one up. But if there 12 volt 240 volt. I guess they have a transformer inside, and hopfully that is protected by a fuse if not. The power pack is stuffed.

Try it on 12 volt if it works maybe a problem with the 2 way auto supply switch.

Does it smell bad with your nose near the power supply.

    Re: Engel fridge repairs

I aquired a 12v/240v Engel not long ago and it has a blown transformer. The 12v system works perfectly but transformer died when the guy I got it from ran it on a cheap petrol genny and ran it out of fuel which caused a power spike when it revved up as it leaned out on that last drop of fuel. I was quoted over $300 to replace the power supply. Apparently you can't just change the transformer so now I'm looking for a 12v transformer I can plug into the mains. The tricky part is finding one that puts out enough amps so it won't burn out after extended periods of use.

    Hi all

I plugged it in to 12 volt and same thing ...nadah..no light on the switch etc.

No smell in anything and was working perfect last time I used it.

Might have to pull the side off and have a bit of a explor
