    Heat Beads Calculator

    Folks

Want to know how many heat beads to use with your camp oven. I have set up a handy calculator on my website at http://www.aussiecampovencook.com/charcoalheatchart.htm

    Cheers

    Hi Derek

As usual very informative and useful, thanks again.

Personaly I get very frustrated trying to get head beads to light up. I have tried different types and even resorted to soaking in turps, nothing seems to satisfy. Any hints?

    Hi

One of the best things I ever bought was a Weber Charcoal Chimney. They get heatbeads going in half the time. The photo below is not the best but it will give you an idea of what it looks like. Bought mine from Barbecues Galore. Oh yeah, in that photo I used the self lighting heatbeads. Nearly set the ceiling alight on the patio.

Here's another one. What happens is the heat is drawn up through the bottom and the coals really heat up quick.

    Hi

From memory I think it was $27.00 but that was a couple of years ago. The last one I brought was from the States and it cost me $12.95 USD plus delivery.
