Spent about 2 hours from mid morning fishing landbased from a spot on the Coomera River. Quite a few small whiting and bream. Best bream was 27cm.

There was a strong current pushing the bait back in towards the rock wall. The moving bait seemed to attract bites. Would I have been better off with a larger sinker that held the bait where I cast it?

The lighter the better. More natural presentation. Might just mean casting more.
