Yeah excellent result for him and his family, it was nice to see the videos of him catching it as well as getting the cheque

Well there you go...apparently the father has made the offer (which of course should have been done at the time)....anyway we will see what unfolds...

But what I found most bizzare was the social media response mentioned in this article because a reporter actually confronted him about the theft and asked if he was going to pay for the damage.....

Thats just so indicative of all thats wrong with the world these days...try and hold a criminal black kid to account and apparently you are the a$$hole..

Anyway hopefully the young guys parents helps him get some decent financial advice to bank or invest a large chunk of it so he just doest blow the lot on himself and his hangers on ....Like flies on sh!t I imagine there will be plenty with their hands out..

Tunaticer I'm pretty sure its the first time that a million dollar one has been caught...about 20 x 10k ones were caught last year though which would still be sweet enough..

BTW Does he have to pay income tax on that million bucks..?

No, this year they released 24 tagged fish with $1m but first in best dressed. Any others caught after that were at $10k from memory. They released about 10 last year but none have ever been recaught.
