Could be some good deals going if your handy with a welder. Those Albacores are a nice hull.

A bad days fishing has got to be better than any day at work......

I think this is kind of like Bunnings taking out all the smaller hardware stores, and supermarkets taking out the corner store, Telwater is just outselling them by a huge number and churning out cheap OK boats with brand names that appeal to all ages/buyers. Just like Evinrude was left behind, so too the cheap mass produced market is being gobbled up, slowly but surely.
I don’t know how the unfinished boats will go got to get it finished to spec and registered .
If you have a builders plate
What spec? I thought boat building was the Wild West as long as it doesn’t require survey.
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
That just about covers it, not familiar with a possible new law in QLD, but, previously there is/was no building spec or quality control on a boat to be registered, you simply take it to a local boat shop and get it boat coded (if it wasn’t previously done) and then pay the money, job done.
I reregistered my old man's tinny this year that has never had a hin or a builders plate. When I went to Qld transport they just issued a sin which is now on a piece of paper on my desk and processed the rego. Why would one of these hulls be harder?
I was building a boat and layed the keel in 2005( thank god for cameras with time and date) i had to prove it so i could regester it with no HIN after 2006 you had to have a builders plate and HIN which you got from the desinger with the qualifications, i built the next boat with plans and the designer supplied the HIN number and build plate info, someones got to be responceable these days you can buy a build plate but if whats on the build plate is wrong your the one in the dog house or jail.
You know the old saying its all welll and good untill someone looses an eye then the funs over.
That stops some one building a boat with no floatation and putting a 75hp on a 10footer with a dodgy build plate info on it.
