    Boat and Jet ski collision

I saw this on the news tonight and was thinking that the Jet ski has hit the little tiny at speed to cause the injuries that were received and I thought that it used to be a rule that jet skies were not allowed past the last navigational beacon the boat ramp look way up Tingalpa creek the father and his kids aren’t in a good way buy the sounds of it.

I would not want to be the Jet ski guy I think they will throw the book at him especially if he should not have been there and was hooning up in skinny water I hope the father and his boys recover soon.

Based on the description of where it occurred I believe it’s 6kn speed limit.

Yes it looked like a tight place to launch and thought it might have a speed limit as other places like there have.

Yeah it's 6kn and it's just before the rail bridge. It's crazy to think they would be travelling that fast. There are moored boats and the canoe club is just there. When I was there a couple of weeks ago there were people wake boarding behind a tinny a bit further upstream.

Well the only speed involved would have been from the Jetski ...

Dont think the little punt with 4 people on board and a leccy on the back would be hooning very much..

This is when people learn about duty of care the hard way.

You would also have every right to think you were pretty safe taking the kids out putting along in that little rig..

I agree the jetski rider looks to be in a lot of trouble here but this pic from 7 news shows a merc on the back
They must have emptied the boat out before towing it
