    Fraser Island Trip

Just got back from a 10 day trip to Fraser Island .
The weather and weed was pretty ordinary for the first couple of days but got better as the week went on.
Fishing wasn’t as good as August last year for numbers of fish , but we expected that for October.
Got some quality fish on Halco Twistiest, biggest tailor was a 710mm fish , with a few more between 640 to 690mm .
Ate pretty well , our the chilli mud crab nite was the stand out .

No , we locked up our food and rubbish and didn’t have any issues with the dingoes . We did however have them visiting our camp regularly in the day light , which was a bit unusual. We might have just setup our camp near a den.The State Government has currently closed a huge percentage of camp sites south of the Cathedrals and hence concentrated campers in other areas on the Eastern beach ,maybe the dingoes have concentrated their food search in these reduced camp areas - don’t know.

The one in the background in your last pic is looking at thst tailor and licking his chops.
One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce and canonized those who complain.
