The Productivity commission woman was justifying it, saying that a huge amount of the wealth is being locked up by the boomers who are an ageing demographic and the generations coming behind them are going to be on struggle street paying a much larger share of taxes than their predecessors. Yet in the next breath the same people that are on struggle street are going to be slugged by this inheritance tax.
As soon as any economist references the structural funding gaps we are facing into the future and focuses on raising revenue rather than cutting spending my eyes roll as they are irrelevant twats.
