    King Ash Bay

We've got a trip planned up here in a few weeks, just wanted to check if anyone else has fished here lately and has any pointers?

Haven’t been there but I’m interested to hear about your adventure. I’d like to make that area my next trip

Not for quite a few years now, but talk to the locals about the rocks near the boat ramp, nothing to be worried about, but need to follow the markers.
Crooked Creek fished really well down near the mouth, as did most systems if you're chasing Barra.

Had some good luck in these spots:
-15.813120, 136.668390 - Casting to the feeder creek
    -15.813795, 136.676318 - Trolling the edge
    -15.870679, 136.711796 - Trolling the edge

And then flicking into most feeder creeks at the right times.

If you're chasing livies, they can be challenging at times to get, try some of these areas:
-15.898459, 136.620183 - can stop on the sand bank
-15.913500, 136.544551 - by boat, or off bank
-15.893323, 136.588350 - was handy at higher tides. When tide is right height can get off and sneak over to feeder creek.
-15.859981, 136.634064 - again, at the right tide can get out and sneak on to feeder

Make sure you go and enjoy Groper Bar of and evening, it's also a great place to catch up with others to exchange stories, watch out but, fish get bigger as the night goes on.
Be aware of bag limits, it is highly frowned upon, but you may have others offering you fresh caught fish. They don't tell you that they're exceeding their limits, but it also counts to yours when in your possession.
Another thing that nearly caught us, but not sure how it is now, is that the servo closes in the afternoon, so if you have a big day out and need to fuel up, or get bait/ice, you had to be back in time.

Hope this helps, I can't wait to get back up there, loved every minute of it.
    Cheers

Cheers Corry thats awesome mate 👍

We've got a house boat for the week so most likely won't be heading back to town unless we run out of something.

I think the owners will do a few runs down to us to take rubbish and bring fuel etc.
