Excellent mate , had it out twice now and caught a few fish with the wife but the boat handles the bay chop really well and barely a drop of water in the boat . The reverse chine and the design of the boat makes it great , adjusted a few things on the boat and sounder to suit and the fuel gauge is was reading incorrectly but it’s stuffed so a new one will be here Tuesday I tested the gauge two ways to prove it’s not the sender so that’s a simple fix . This is going to be fun, and funnily enough the Hds 7 gen3 is easy to use and I’m impressed by its ease of use . I found over 400 waypoints left on the unit as well between the tweed and North Queensland in places I like to go so some starter marks , Lucinda , Airlie , rocky and some off Kurrimine . Engine is superb and the 6 year warranty transferred to my name as well now, I found some more info on the old South African bloke that built them which was very interesting I think iv struck gold to be honest . Matt

Yeah canopy will need to go on I guess , I’m a bit reluctant but the wife and grandkids are going to need some protection, and yeah size wise it should be a good all rounder. Can’t wait to take it North next year

If you'd like any of those points from Airlie north checked, let me know, we live in Cairns and have a beach house at Seaforth (just south of Airlie), fish Lucinda a bit too... happy to go check them for you

Looks and sounds like a great set up, perfect for getting you to just about anywhere, well done
    Cheers

Haha...yeah Likewise...happy to check out marks off Kurrimine and Lucinda too...dont need any up on the reefs but any out in the paddocks where the nannies live are worth a drop ..and happy to exchange some marks from Mission beach to Innisfail....and yeah I'm sure a canopy would be much appreciated by the missus and little monsters...

No real idea yet mate , waiting on a fuel gauge which will be here this week and the the lowrance dosent appear to have a total distance travelled ability in it or individual trip distance that I can find yet , iv been out twice but only reasonably short runs so far and I looked in the tank and it’s barely gone down past the filler . It’s got 80 ltre tank apparently but we will see once I have a gauge , it’s a floor fill instead of gunnel fill but it was too easy same as my mates charter boat . Might have to get an app going and save each journey between fills to get an idea but I’d think at least 2 klm a litre or I could get the vessel view Bluetooth attachment that goes on the motor then links to the lowrance but that’s another $300

Nice vessel Matt, and a hard one to find these days, I've been looking for exactly a boat like that. Glad it's working out for you and the family.

As for the Lowrance I'm managing to work it out, the only thing at the moment I struggle with now is the size of the icons, just wish they'd have just a small dot instead of that massive blue ball as standard. I've also found EasyGPS or ExpertGPS (has more features and an annual fee) is good for managing your WP's and routes.
One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce and canonized those who complain.

Thanks so much for that , I’m way impressed myself and could never have believe a boat like this was possible . I’m sure I will be putting up some posts in the future with some of my adventures and looking for advice on a few things that I will be adding like bow mounts and sun protection. Thanks too everyone for being so helpful and positive about it all and helping me to get back on the water it’s been 6. Years and I can’t wait .
