Just ordered a dyneema winch rope on fleabay 6mm x15mts for $29.50 we will see how that goes on the trailer winch or how long before it gets taken, i figure that if i cut it in half and keep the other half in the car ill have a spare if it does,it seems cheaper than buying a winch rope.
Just have to splice it, fairly eady if single braid, a lot more complicated if double braided. Have fun.

Chris, I've not heard of winch rope being stolen, where are you launching that this occurs.

It seem to be the same as the expencive stuff from other boating stores.
These days 6mm dyneema is cheap...I even have it as my cast net ropes.
I had not heard of it ever being stolen from trailers at the ramp car parks.
