I have tried boat.yyyy brand and yes it gets rid of salt. Even after washing the boat with detergent once dried and then get some high humidity the sslt makes an appearance but the salt washes make it disappear. You still need detergent for blood and guts etc.Originally Posted by Volvo
The first time I used it on the motor I may not have flushed out the liquid properly or else it loosened crap in the motor because it smoked for a while the next time I used it. Hasn't happened since.

Thanks Dig , reason for asking is its heavilly discounted for 5 ltr drum.
Bought a tub n was thinking of purchasing more for washing tinny down.

Just hope its a worthwhile product , mostly hoping it will wash the salt that get stuck to the boat as well as the grime lol..

Sorry buddy, when you posted Boat.XXX I thought you just didn't want to use a name brand. I didn't realise that's what it was actually called. The stuff I was referring to goes throught a spray gun style arrangement, this one seems to be a little different. Let us know how it goes.
