    Store bought rod epoxy.

Just finished stripping the guides from a new NS amped 10 to 20 lb stick and I’ve never had such a hard time doing it the epoxy was very hard not flexible like it should be the razor blade was chattering trying to cut across the guide foot no wounder the new generation rods are snapping there fighting against the hard spot from the stiff epoxy.

Anyways from standard this rod came with a size 5 tip which I could not get a 60 lb leader through it so now I’m putting a size 7 tip and double foot Fuji frazlites on it.

Yer it will if its still ok ,the stuff i cut off was atrocious it was like 3to1 clear laminating epoxy, ive never had a problem with the flex coat when i was building some rod i had a little squeeze bottle alcohol torch to heat things up to get any air out but the new gen4 sounds like a good thing.
