Recommendations for PPB Snapper Gear

Hello All.

Can you recommend quality rods, reels and line type for fishing from boat in PPB?

Only interested in threadline reels or baitcaster type reels,

If you are bait fishing a 4000 stradic or 4500 baitrunner is all you will ever need for snapper...they don't put up much of a fight.
Again if bait fishing almost any 5-8kg rod will do.
If you are wanting to fish plastics drop down to a 2500 stradic on a 4-7kg graphite rod about 2.1m long. There are hundreds of them on the shelves, select one that feels nice and not too beefy....you are looking for sensitivity. I do not pay more than $150 for any rod and there is a big selection to choose from.

How long should the rod be for bait fishing?

What line type (mono or braid) for bait?

Same for soft plastics?
