That won’t stop anyone, they just hook the chains up and drive away.

    Hi All.

    Following up on this one.

What brand / model wheel lock do you recommended for the boat trailer, when used at boat ramp and at home?

Wheel locks are a visual deterrent more than a physical one. As they walk by they can quickly see it and decide on spending a few minutes there or look for something that might have zero protection.
For a wheel lock I would look for anything big either red or yellow to stand out.

Wheel locks can be beaten by deflating the tyre. Not real secure.

Without some sort of protrusion the base could be lifted out of the concrete.
You would need to bore about 200mm diameter x 400 deep and set the base into the concrete.
    any update on this project?

This project has been pushed aside for other works currently.
Hopefully I will get a prototype knocked up soon.

I have been giving your project a lot of thought as I have to install gates later this year but I'm looking at one wide gate which can be locked down with a smaller side gate. The wide gate would need to be on a spring loaded wheel/castor for opening. I have a few things on atm but need to go back to your design and have a closer look.

I made a set of tri-fold gates for my area.

I think we need to have a chat.
