I can’t help sorry
but the Garmin active captain can be a flaky piece of crap at times too lol
Ok, I deleted my Lowrance app, went through the process of downloading it again and trying to connect to my HDS live. The wifi on my phone tells me I'm connected to the HDS but the app tells me it can't connect to it. Is there something I'm missing?
I get an email from Lowrance with all the congrats etc and tells me that I can get all the info from the online manual of the app. Do they bother to include a link, nope.
All I want is to download my WP's and edit a few and reload them.
If I didn't need it for the Motorguide it would be out immediately.
Anyone any ideas?

Thanks Steve, mate has Active Captain and it took a lot of effort to get it going, it was just trying to get around terminology but this thing is bloody hopeless.
I gave up for the moment and went aboard and modified the WP's there, it's a pain as well as to edit a WP location, you have to overtype the entire WP not just the last 3 digits as I wanted.

Sorry I missed this comment. It's not too bad, just have to get around the terminology and find where things are hidden. I still prefer Garmin for the GPS side of things, the default WP's on the HDS7 are huge big blue dots, generally I leave the default as many of mine are starter points only and as I search I'll hit a WP to come back to, those big dots cover the screen like some postulant virus and I don't want to change them to the smallest symbol available which is a fish symbol and the range of symbols available are very limited. As mentioned previously I bought it to control the Motorguide leccy and don't use it as a combo much at all. It would probably be ok in my tinnie but once again those bloody blue ballons for WP's would drive me crazy.
