Went out today in the hope of christening one of the new Nomad Squidvibes as well as scoring a feed of Grunter.
Just got settled in on my possie with Missus dropping two Blue Salmon and i picked up a nice Grunter.
Said to the Missus she had twenty minutes score another Salmondo and then we would move to deeper ventures try out the Nomads.
Missus sez "Why is your sounder blank and i cant use the deckwash "??..
Wel spent the next two hours pissfarting around trying to find why my accesories went missing ..
Fuses unplugged n plugged again till i was about to throw heartspasm from the heat of the day so decided to pack it up , go home have a cuppa , clean up and try suss out the problemo!!.
After another couple hours farting around i decided to disconnect the batterries and go back to Homebase .
Just as well as there back in the corner beside the house battery was a fuseholder !! ..
Yep blown fuse here .. Disconnected it and moved somewhere more vieable and easier to get to fer next time Plurry bastardo of a shyetenhouser ..
Anyway guess it was a heads up..
Start of the day i maybe should have turned back anyway due to the 4x4 awning i set up fer extra shade decided to tear , rip and blow all over the place making it a trip back home and remove it , then Missu spies a missing bung which i had spare .
They say Shyte happens in threes dont they..
Anyhows Grunter Fillets fer Din Din tonight , Like to go back tomorrow but predicting a scorcher !!..

So what’s it a installed fuse box from new or something that you put in?

Little fuseholder bolted to back wall of acc/house isol switch. Been there originally.
Had the will would rewire all to my liking.

Its a good point you bring up Volvo....

And a good lesson for the unwary to go over your wiring and motor and familiarise yourself with the fuses and switchs......

I pulled up behind a young fella who came into the dock recently and asked him why he was travelling with his electric motor....although I had an inkling as to why when I saw the Etec on the back...

He said the motor had quit suddenly and that it wouldnt turn over when he turned the key...luckily he was within leccy distance from the ramp...he said he had virtually pulled all his wiring apart from the motor and battery up to the helm but couldnt find the issue.....

He had the cowl pulled off and it took about 5 seconds for me to check the fuse that was tucked under the flywheel cover and see it was blown...it was such a simple and easy thing to check thing but he had no clue where or what to look for...

Volvo, how are you finding the new Seajay...?...everything you expected, mate..?

Also is anyone else having problems replying on the forum.?..someone mentioned that trying a new browser like Firefox does the trick and it seems to work for me...

Yeah Mate I'm rather happy with it.100HP Honda on the acend giving me less than a litre per Naut mile at 22 to 23 knots at just under 4.5 hund revs and at 150 ltr tank get good distance.
Only thing I don't like with it is the baitboard and the height of it making it awkward castnetting from rear.
Being a centre console okay casting from upfront if you have someone else driving.
Need better shade as the T Top doesn't give enough shade. Put up a 4x4 awning from anaconda easy enough and did the job till yesterday. At $99 okay and possibly put another one up till I get something better n more permanent.
Comfy Boat in reasonable weather n just need to take it easy otherwise as is the case with most tinnies ey.
Think it may be my last Boat unless lotto comes my way LOL.

Sounds about perfect really mate..

The baitboard shouldnt be too hard to modify if you want....Mine has 2 legs on the bottom below the drawers and it just slots into 2 slightly larger diameter tubes welded under the top of the transom back wall..

To remove I simply lift it up about 8-10 inches upwards and out of the tubes...I never understood why some of these factory builders weld or bolt them on ....

had one like that on the Quinny , if i cant get someone modify this one will get another and fit to this Boat, easier that way as when i wish to use the cast net just remove temporarilly.
