    Bonito 560XT

Any one on here lucky enough to have one of these yet? I am interested in feedback on builds from this company from 2020 onwards in the 500/560 ranges and more specifically the 560XT.

They look quite interesting. I need a smoother ride and also want to be able to sneak out a little wider, the renegade and my broken aging body are not a good combo. Looking for a safe, smoother ride with a little more room and good ability in slop. Also ability to have more gunt off the back because hey why not

100% fishing focused for me. I will get a floating gin palace when I retire and for now I want to chase fish

Not interested in hearing about other brands at this time, I am looking at all options and this thread is specific to Bonito.

    thanks in advance.

I have a mate who has a Bonito 500, it is a good solid boat. He did have a fuel tank problem which Bonito removed, replaced, they actually changed suppliers due to it not being an isolated case. This involved ripping up the floor which was reinstated like new. He has a suzi 70hp on it and a mate of his has a 90hp which does work better.
Feedback is that Bonito do back up their boats with after sales service.
The XT looks like it would be an absolute weapon.
One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce and canonized those who complain.

    G'day Steve,

Mate I watched this online the other day (bloody nice boat) - just released, young guy named Adam builds Bonito boats.
Thought you may have been interested in watching.

Hi mate i dont know anything about that boat but I did face a similar situation where one of the main reasons for my last upgrade was a better ride for the back and neck..

I went to a boat with 24 degree deadrise and a shockie seat which means I dont have a couple of down days after reef trips anymore..

The Bonito 560 only has a transom deadrise of 13 degrees compared to the 660 in the video above which is 25 degree..

No doubt it will still be a superior ride to the Renegade but I'd definately try and get a ride in one in ordinary conditions before committing...and definately compare options...good luck..

    Thanks guys

I have watched most of the material on the Bonito youtube channel and also watched the reviews on The Capitan which is how I come across them, Adam sounds like his uncle staked him with the business when he was looking for a new tender a few years back, a lucky break and he seems quite passionate about what he does.

I certainly would be taking one for a decent test ride, I wouldn't put too much faith in videos and paid adds, let alone buy a boat on their test results.
