    Interstate transportation

Hi boaties, Has anyone on here transported a boat or know someone who has done this. Looking at cost to factor in when purchasing a new boat . East to West . Or Melbourne to Perth . Cheers

Try Ceva Logistics , they move a lot of cars around the country and a boat will be much the same.

I used Prix Car to get my car from Bris to Perth a few years ago, from memory it was around $1200 for a dual cab Ranger, door to door so it was a very painless process for me.

    Re: Interstate transportation

I've used, well work has used, lots of different companies over the years moving us around, both cars, trailers and boats, the one that sticks in mind for me to never use again, and I've got instructions to our relocation group to not use for me ever again, is Prix Car. I'm not going into the gory details, but numerous times they have caused us too much grief to even contemplate using them again.

Land Transport has std freight movements east to west, they handle all sorts of loads.
Or you could contact Alucraft for their freighters and book a return run with them....about 5 boat builders over there that will have a std freight company that runs eastbound.

Mansfield Marine in Perth have their new Caribbeans shipped Melbourne to Perth on a regular basis. They are currently quoting $5200 delivery on a new Reefrunner ( (6.4m, on trailer, no motor) ) , if that is any help as a guide for price.

Ive used DJ frieght twice and both times they were fantastic.
Im not sure if they go west though.

Also, make sure you dont book anyone who wants payment/part payment up front.(10% deposit at best.)
Ive been screwed over fairly savage by paying half up front to a company who took my money and ran. even though id checked their ABN, credentials as much as one can

I have used Cameron from Cameron's Specialised towing since 2003 and sent many boats around the country for clients.
